I have had some fantastic war records from Raven about my g grandad and am now looking for my grandads records( his son):
Dennis Clare born 1913 in Miles Platting, Manchester, he was in the
8th Army and I know he got five medals
Well that is all I know, see if you can work your magic again.

HI Jenny
Sorry Jenny these records aren't available online.

As your Grandad served during WW2 his army service records will be held by the MOD. If you are a next of kin you can request his records by completing a Subject Access Request and a Certificate of Kinship, I think you also have to provide a copy of his death certificate. There is a non refundable fee of £30 charged. Sometimes it can take a while for you to receive anything if at all.

You can download the forms from Army Records Office

The address to send them to is also on that page..

Raven..
researching:
Matchett (Ayrshire, Dundee),McFarland (Co derry NI) Dick, Ewing, Nairn, Young (Ayrshire) Koehler (East Prussia), Russell( Peebleshire)
