Can anyone (with full access to ancestry) find a James Fox's military records, he was born in1885 manchester and .......

Default James Fox army record

Can anyone (with full access to ancestry) find a James Fox's military records, he was born in1885 manchester and the story is he survived being gassed in 1915,died in 1924.

Do you have the regiment he served with as this would help..

If you have the correct dates, then he does not appear to be on Ancestry. Do you have the name of his mother or his address as this may help.

His father was John W Fox and his mother was Mary H ? They are on the 1891 and 1901 census think his family were from liverpool and leeds, he married Nellie Sheridan in manchester in 1909 but don't have address sorry.

Regiment: 2nd KOSB
Enlisted Hulme, Manchester. August 1914.
DMOB 19/2/1919.
We would like to know what he did and where he served between these dates, including any active service?
We know that he served in France from 16/3/15.
Any other information would be appreciated

there are three lots of records on Ancestry for James Fox with that Regimental Number...
The last one includes a copy of a death Certificate for his son John age 4 years old

hi raven . many thanks .ref james fox .much appreciated ! can you tell me where the 2 KOSB were in action between 16 MAR 1916 and 31 JULY 1916 . james was wounded in action on 31 JULY1916 . STELLA and ALAN
