Default Albert Morton WW1

I am having trouble trying to find my Grandfathers WW1 Army Records on Ancestry. Grandfather was born 1893 Hemel Hempsted. I know he served in the British Army as I have a photo of him in uniform in the trenches. Can anyone help please with this one. My Grandparents were married in 1913 so Grans name might be recorded. (Gertrude)

Many Thanks

Marion

Hi Marion
I think you will find Ancestry are only up to the letter H at the moment, do you know what regiment he was with? I looked at the medal roll, but there are loads of Andrew Morton.
If you don't know the regiment do you have a picture showing his cap badge you can upload?

Hello Pam,
The photo I have of my Grandfather is very old. I would think he was Regular Army. He is wearing a long trench coat and is sitting down with some kind of radio or transmitting device. My Grandfather died in his forties the result of Mustard Gas from his war days. I do have another old black and white picture but that also is in very bad condition Pam. I will have a closer look and get back to you.

Regards Marion
