Smile WW1...Archibald McCormick (wasn;t sure where to put this thread)

Hi there.

Just a second post about my great grandfather Archibald McCormick.

He served in WW1, at the time he was enlisted he was living in Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland, he appears on the 1901 census living in Millburn street, Kirkcudbright.

I have a picture of him in 1919 in a suit with a walking stick. i was told he hurt his leg in the war and had to be sent home, so I guess the picture so of reinforces that a bit???

I would really like to find his service records, when I have checked there are lots of Archibald McCormicks, with different spellings etc, so how do I know which one is him???

Please help if you can, I am a little rusty!

Thank you
Kirstie
