Hello All!

My search for the elusive Mr. Ross has lead me to the Cape Colony chasing a possible cousin!

I located a birth of Lionel Cumming Ross on 11 Jan 1881 in Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland to William Ross, a retired Bank Manager and Jeanette Mary née Page. The birth cert. states that William & Jeanette were married 24 Apr 1878 at Bloemfontein, Sth Africa.
The couple make an appearance in the 1881 Scotland census, where "William O. C. Ross" is aged 20 and born at Kimberley, S.A. his wife aged 22 and born Bloemfontein. They are in the household of John Currie, whose wife was Jessie Orgill Ross - who must be cousins.....

Could someone please have a look in South Africa to see if they could locate the marriage or birth of William & Jeanette.
I have absolutely no experience with South African genealogy and would have no idea at all how to even start! Greatly appreciate anything anyone can locate!
