Glad you're on the mend Chris
Just mind that you take care
Don't want you falling off your crutches
Get your feet up in the chair.

Christmas ? Yes I've nearly done it
Cards all made -(Bill thinks I'm mad )
All sorts of pressies I've concocted
Some of them not half bad

I've done phone charms, & some for bags
    From a necklace I don't wear
    Painted ''Smile'' on some pebbles
Button necklaces for folk to wear

Stuff I got from charity shops
(This year I've not got a lot)
For my sons - in case of emergency
    I've done them an S.O.S. box !

It's just like a little tool box
Filled with stuff like batteries, blu tak
    Elastoplast, rennies, headache pills
Some muscle cream for a bad back

Cost nothing to do (excepting the boxes)
    98p - not a lot
And filled them up by raiding our stash
Of bits and pieces we'd got.

I'm aiming for a cheap Christmas
But the twins are 18 this year !!!
What do you get for a boy and girl
Thats cheap - stuff does seem so dear !

It has to be cheap - those scrapbooks
Have cost me lots more than I thought
In paper and flowers and ink for the printer
The bank balance looks a bit short !

I've shelved Offa and his moneyer Pendered
    Can't find a bloomin' thing
Except what I know and thats not much good
So farewell ,sadly, to my ''bling'' !

I fancied a 'project' for next year
A challenge -I'd not done before
Well history is gone so any suggestions ?
Please tell - I'll really all ears !

    Oh.....did I say we're going to Scotand
In October - I need some warm boots
And a coat scarf and hat
    Coat must be waterproof !

Loch Lomond and Edinburgh coach trip
    Long weekend.....hotel and meals
    All included.........£99 each
Thought that was a pretty good deal.

No driving for Bill, taken here to there
Must make sure before we get back
That someone pops in to switch heating on
As well as feeding the cats !
How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...........

Today we had a picnic lunch
    Up on Bodmin Moor
    Was beautiful scenery
    Certainly not a bore

    We had homemade pasty
    And a lovely cold drink
    Then looked around us
It sure does make you think

    The ruggedness of the moors
    Just takes your breath away
    Whenever i get a chance
This is where i like to stay

Hazel - did you take your coat
Or did you have a heat wave ?
Cos its been very cold here
Go out ? -Well I'm not that brave !

I do know what you mean though
    Nature does us proud
    And puts life into perspective
    As we look around.

    But today, August bank holiday
    I stayed indoors all day
    Cardi on and keeping warm
Oh why didn't summer stay ?

Dont want to put the heating on
Don't seem long since we turned it off !
So till then its cardigans and blankets
So we don't get colds and coughs !

The kids all wear neck warmers
    Well -promise not to laugh
    But I've just been upstairs
And now wearing a scarf !!
How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...........

Seeing you cant go out of the door
Hairdresser to come and do your locks
And nice shaped eyebrows , nice new frocks

So Marys going off to the Scottish land
Hope she hears some great brass bands
    Nothing much doing down here
Maybe a chat, a rattlers or beer

Back to work for me next week
Watch my words before i speak
Its been such a peaceful time
All to fast . Start before nine

    A big cheer is needed
For all of us on aa
    Another proud moment
    Now we can all stay

    Its quite an achievement
    To raise a big amount
    Watching our balance get smaller
    Remembering the backward count

    I'd like to thank everyone
For saving the best ever site
To lose it wouldve been a sad, sad day
Lets improve it with all our might

    LONG LIVE AA

Oh eck -confused ?? Not half I am
I tried to get on here
The site had changed -'access denied'
    Password forgot I fear !

I had to do it all again
And I'm all behind with news
Whats this about AA being saved ?
Didn't know it was nearly lost !

Chris you're doing fine my mate
You'll get there don't you fret
Just wait till you get your hair done
A real nice 'wash and set'

Cold it is......been so up here
    We've had our heater on
    Radiators can stay off
    Least till Septembers gone !

I've had to do this 'quick reply'
    Cos couldn't do another
I tried, I clicked and clicked again
    But it wouldn't work.......oh bother !!

    And now the dinners ready
And forgot what I was going to say
So I'll be back sometime tomorrow
If ''stuff'' doesn't get in the way !
How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...........

    Glad that you're improving Chris
My back's not been so bad
I still have to be careful though
But it's driving me quite mad.

My young girl who cleans for me
    She's not been too well
    So hoovering hasn't been done
If you saw it you could tell !!

Floor needs mopping in the kitchen
Bill says he'll have a go
    Tomorrow -got a meeting Tuesday
Don't want the muck to show !

    Training Course on Wednesday
    First Aid would you believe
    Had to cancel physio
    No chance of a reprieve

I've cancelled this course 3 times
    Daren't do it any more
I'll get in trouble from our boss
Then got to be back by 4 !

Our lad here's got a meeting
We can't get out of that
So words that are going through my head
    Are not exactly ''drat!!''

Still, get this lot all over
    The next weeks almost free
    I think......or is it ....? Better check
    Senior moment me !!

It's cold, it've got the heater on
So I'm all set for TV
    Hot coffee, comfy sofa
And blanket round my knees !!
How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...........
