Is there a way for me to see the marriage record? What I have from another family member is that John and Margaret where married in 1874 at Magherafelt somewhere in southern Londonderry County. I am not sure if that is near or the same as what you have here. I also have been told their eldest son was born 1876 in the Cookstown Registration District of County Tyrone? Hard to figure out!

HI, Does anyone know if any of the children of Smith/ Keenan went on to have a daughter Sadie Smith, house keeper, of Tamlaghtmore. She went on to have a daughter (my mother) born in 1946? My mothers middle name is Margaret. Is this all just coincidence!!!!

I would order a copy of your mother’s birth certificate to see who her parents were, and work backwards from that. If she was born in Northern Ireland in 1946, the records are not on-line anywhere and you need to contact GRONI in Belfast to get a copy. General Register Office (GRO) information | nidirect

Hi, She managed to get her birth certificate but it doesn't have any other detaills for her mother other than I have mentioned and no details for her father. She has tried PRONI etc but with no luck.
