Question Missing Selmes

I'm wondering if someone could please help me find a missing child in my tree?

The missing person is Louisa Jane, baptized 5 April 1812, probably somewhere around the Whatlington area of Sussex.

She was born illigitimately to Sabina Selmes, father unknown.

Sabina was born c1793 in Sussex.
Bap: 1 Feb 1793 in Whatlington, Sussex.
Married: John Elford b 1781 in Somerset
DOM: 24 Jan 1816 - probably in Whatlington or Mountfield.
Sabina died 4 Nov 1876 in Radstock

Sabina's parents were Simon Selmes & Sarah Aylward
Her brother's were Solomon (no date known) & Samuel bap: 9 Nov 1783 in Whatlington.

Sabina & John had:

Maria Elford born c1821 in Wellow/Radstock
John Elford born c1814 in Vinehall, Sussex
Hester Elford born c1819 in Radstock, died 1824 in Whatlington
Stephen Elford born c1822 in Writhlington
Elizabeth Elford born 16 July 1827 in Writhlington
Patience Elford b1828 in Radstock
Hester Elford b1831

Louisa seems to have dissappeared into thin air, I don't know if she was raised by another family member or if she was placed into an orphanage?? I don't know if she was given the Selmes family name or another one? She doesn't seem to be listed in the 1841 & 1851 census.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....I'm well & truly stuck with this one!

Helen.....
