I am trying to find out abit more information regarding the Stemmerman family from Bermondsey....



John Christopher Stemmerman born c1780, married Hannah Rolfe 27/10/1800 at St. Mary's, Whitechapel. They had a son Frederick E. Stemmerman b1810 in Bermondsey, a Leather Dresser by trade. He married Mary Gardner b1811 in Bermondsey, at St. Mary's, Lambeth in 1829. Frederick was 1 of 9 children. The family eventually branched out North & moved to the Leeds/Bradford areas of Yorkshire.



I have alot of names, dates, etc coming forward, I am more interested in the Bermondsey side of their family, also how they ended up in Surrey....Stemmerman is a German name I think?
