Hi all,
I am researching Allens in Leicestershire. They seem to have originated around Thorpe Satchville and Twyford. I think I have got back to the 1750s so far.
Of particular interest is Parkinson Allen who married Eliza Tinkler. He was my great grandfather and seems to have been given his mother's surname as his first name.
