My Aplin family is originally from Chard, Somerset, however my direct ancestor migrated to London in around 1870.

I have just joined ancestryaid and saw your message. My Aplin family originated from Chard and settle near Hampton Court in Surrey. I believe my mother's Aplin family were part of Aplin and Barrett the dairy firm in Beaminster. If this is of any interest to you let me know and I can send you some details.
