Hi Folks,
This person born c. 1790 married a Fanny Dommett at St. George The Matyr Southwark in February 1813. They had a daughter Frances b. 1816 at Deptford, a son Ed.Francis b. 1818 and another daughter Henrietta Frances b. 1821. The son married a Mary Mash in 1838 in Islington (I have info. on the Mash's) The daughter Frances married a Robert Jackson and one of their daughters arrived in Australia 1859 aged 21. No info. on the younger daughter Henrietta . Edward Francis Wood Snr, lists his birthplace as Monmouth on the census although he was living in London after his marriage. However the son Edward Francis & wife Mary are elusive. I have one known child for them a Mary Ann Frances Wood born 1839 who married a George Fenn in 1862. Any info. on any of the Wood, Jackson or the Fenn family would be appreciated. Sally |

Hi Astwood,
Thank you for that valuable news it will certainly help. I do have a little more to the puzzle of the Woods; the daughter who came to Australia was Edward F. Woods Granddaughter, Frances Henrietta Jackson b. 1837 at his home in Goswell Rd Islington to Frances (Wood) & Robert Jackson. She arrived in Australia on the Grand Trianon in 1858 aged 21 listed on the passenger list as a Nursemaid. So far no further news after her arrival. Tks again. Sally |
