Thread: Ann Williams

I am trying to find information about Ann Williams born 1817/1818 in Bristol. On her death cert her mother is listed as Ann Williams - father unknown. I do not know how she came to Australia or when but I know she married in 1839 at Parramatta, Sydney to a William Clarke and had 3 boys - one of them being my Ggrandfather.

I know that in 1837 she was on the HMS Rattlesnake returning from New Zealand to Sydney with the Rev Samuel Marsden and his daughter Martha.

I also know that in 1851 her husband died and she remarried a William King and had a daughter to him named Sarah Ann.

She died in 1884 aged 67 years at Bathurst NSW.

I am hoping someone may be able to help me. The information apart from her death cert I have had from a lady who is a granddaughter of the daughter Sarah but earlier than that I know nothing.

Please someone help!
