Thankyou for replying to this post. I should have made a correction to this as it now seems she did not marry Edward before Jonas. Time frame doesn't seem to allow 2 marriages. But have a birth Cert. for son Worthy stating mothers maiden name as Vizard and an unemployment form also for Worthy stating mothers maiden name as Evans. The child now appears to be a nephew. I only know she was born in Alveston around 1848 and as there were two Mary Anns born there around the same time, have no idea which family she is. Was hoping someone researching Vizard name may have attached her to Jonas and I'd be able to find out from that. Thanks again.

Hi Valerie
I have just joined this list and note that you are researching the Vizard name. My husband is connected to the Vizard Line and I do have quite a bit of info about them. His earliest ancestor was a George Vizard who was born about 1695 at Shipton Moyne in Glos. The family eventually settled at Oldland and Mangotsfield near Bristol. I do have quite a bit of info about the Wiltshire branch if you could let me have further details. Mary ![]() |
