Hi, I am a TWIZELL from South Shields, but I dont have a link with the ones you mention (i dont think so anyway), I was in a cemetery in Newbiggin a few weeks back and took 2 photos of Twizell graves, its still quite a rare name, are you one then ?

Hi there, thanks for your reply.Although not a Twizell I have a lot in my family tree,my grandfather's middle name was Twizell as was his father's - who married a Hannah Twizell. They seem to come mainly from Newbiggin and some [from long ago] Bedlington. I have never been to Bedlington but I know Newbiggin fairly well |

was the Hannah you mention born 20 march 1841 and died 5 june 1874 ? If so she appears on a family tree that a bloke called Twizell sent me from France a couple of years back when he was trying to link the names together.
