I am researching the Sidaway family who originated in Rowley Regis area, Staffordshire. My great grandfather was William Isaac Sidaway who married Charlotte Badger.

I am also researching the Sidaway family from the Rowley Regis area. My great grandfather, Henry Sidaway married Rebecca Froman and they had 6 children (named John (born 1888), Charles, William, Harold, Beatrice and Lily). Anything ring a bell? Cheers and all the best in the new year.

A cousin in New Zealand has researched the Sidaways and shared her tree with me, there are 13944 names on it and the tree is still growing. There are several Henry's, and a number of Johns. I am at work just now but when I have time I will search through the tree for your Henry. I am sure there will be a connection somewhere though, the Sidaways were a big family and I have now made contact with relations in Scotland, Portsmouth, Australia, New Zealand all stemming from the Rowley Regis area. There are a lot of 6 and 7th cousins around. My great grandparents moved to Co.Durham in NE England.

I will contact you again once I've gone through the tree, meanwhile a very Happy New Year to you and good luck with your research

Hello there! I am also searching my family past. My name is Robert James Sidaway grandson of John Henry Sidaway & Ellen Watson of England. They had seven children Olive, Horace(my father) Betty, Frank, Jack, Edna, and Leonard.
I do know that my father had a cousin in New Zealand named Harold Sidaway.
I was born in Montreal Canada in 1966. I have one brother and two sisters, Daniel, Susan & Patricia. My mothers name is Joan Distasio. I have never met her as she abandon us when I was two years old. I do know my cousin Dave Sidaway works for the Montreal Gazette News paper as his father Leonard did.
I reside in Saint-Hubert Quebec, Canada. and work for the Canadian Armed Forces stationed at CFB Saint-Hubert.
