ancesTree RIMMER, pre 1860, Southport

Really need some help on this one I'm afraid. I have managed to get back to my great-great grandfather but no further. Could someone help me in how to get back further. The information I am looking for is as followed.

Son: James Rimmer (Calculated birth 1823) Great Great Grandfather
Spouse: Mary (Surname unknown) Great Great Grandmother
Children: Thomas, Alice, Enid Annie, Elizabeth, Jane, Mary Elizabeth & Paul Edward (Great Grandfather)

Now, given this information, how do I get further back from James Rimmer? What records do I need to persue it further?

Any help would be extremely grateful.

Tony

Hi Tony,

If you post all the details you require in the 'genealogy help area' then I am sure you will get a response. Also it's always helpful if you can provide as much info as possible, such as where born, where residing and occupation if known.

You have asked for help in an area where members are only likely to look if they have an interest in the same surname.

So do try the help area, you will be surprised how many people will be willing to help you.

Best of luck

Thank you so much Slizzy, I appreciate it immensely. I only joined the group a couple of weeks ago, and a bit new to it, so thank you for your help.

No problem Tony, we've all fumbled our way around in the beginning, you will soon find your way around - it takes a little time but you'll get there.
