Interested in the family of alexander Ramsay who married Frances Potter in Egremont Cheshire in 1926. Possibly moved to Ayrshire Scotland.

I am looking for info on Jacob Ramsey b ABT 1790 in South Carolina, maybe in Chester county. He was married to a lady named Mary b ABT 1815 but don't have a surname for her. Any help would be appericated. Thank you for your time.

I have their children down to my son. Family folk lore says that there is Cherokee blood in this line, also one of the grandson's was Sheriff for a time in Somerset, Tenn. Would like to know if any of this is true but have no idea of how to research this. Thank you, Roxanna
