Thread: Patrick Mc Dermott born Ireland about 1807

Hi this family of McDermott's are very elusive, they came from Ireland ,lived in Lancashire and Yorkshire, this makes them very difficult to find.

My Great Grandmother Mary Ann McDermott born in Leeds/ Halifax or Dewsbury (this from three different census's!) about 1848 her Father was called Patrick -- no name for her Mother although on the census's he is down as married. There are at least three sisters living with Patrick at the address on Mary Ann's marriage certificate. The names of the sisters are -- Margaret born abt 1845 Walton Liverpool -- Sarah born abt 1855 in Halifax Yorkshire and Jane born abt 1858 again in Halifax Yorkshire.
