Interested in the family of Charles McInnes who married Victoria Potter in Egremont Cheshire. Victoria was a resident in Ayr when she died in 1936 age 39 and Charles died in Ayr in 1971 age 83.

Hi,
I have an Annabella McInnes, born in Belfast about 1822, married Andrew Aitken probably in Glasgow. Could this be a connection do you think? This is the first time I have come across another McInnes, I was begining to give up hope that they actually existed!

Thank you for contacting me. I can't see a connection but I will keep you in mind - at least I have given you hope ! Since posting the message I have learned that the couple had 3 children ( 2 sons ) who are alive and have families in Scotland - so there are McInnes people out there!
