I am looking for the Mann Family, Lived Liverpool but came from Yorkshire John Mann born Bradford 1851.
I believe, he was the son of George Mann born 1823 Farnley a stone mason son of William and Elizabeth William also a stone mason c1800-1842. Sarah (Sally) Stead born Drighlington 1825 Daughter Of John Stead born c1804 Mapplewell a nail maker and Hannah. Quite confused re the area as not local Drighlington classed as Bradford (1851 birth Certificate) parents lived Drighlinghton but marriage listed Dewsbury (1845) when the certificate arrived they were living Drighlington married in the parish church Birstall registration district Dewsbury. George Born Farnley just a few miles away 1823 that is classed as Leeds. Also seen Farnley as Tong ans Calverley. Such a lot of names for an area if I am right about 7 miles apart. If any of this means anything to you please please help me out. William Mann was on 1841 census a stone mason wife Elizabeth lived moor top he was buried in St Michaels churchyard Jan 1842 he was aged 42. So it is back to parish records now so I have not a clue where or how to start. Jacky |
