Default Lee

My Lee family are all Romany Gypsys.

The furthest back is a bloke called Right Doer Lee b1740c.

From him I have 816 descendants with the Lee name and 287 spouses, which makes 1,103 altogether.

They came from East London - Canning Town / West Ham

and Kent - Swanscombe, Crayford, Erith, Chatham, Sheerness, Maidstone, Malling, Northfleet, Yalding, Buckland, Folkstone, Bearstead, Deptford, Queensborough, Dartford, Dover, Woolwich, Lewisham, Tenderten, Wye, Charlton, Plumstead, Belvedere, Sandhurst, Stone, Staplehurst, Peckham, Streatham, Barman Heath, Charing, Ashford, Milton, Marden, Grinstead Green, Farleigh, Rochester,
and about 20 or so who just gave their place of birth as 'Kent'

Hi Jenny

I have a Samuel Lee, born 1810c, on the Norfolk/Suffolk borders. hes died in West Ham infirmary in 1901. he was my 5xg-grandfathers nephew.

I also have a Caroline Chilcot who married Perun Heron. Then she married Thomas Lee, born 1854 Walthamstow, Essex. She was born in Great Yarmouth in 1831.

She had 7 children..
Richenda Heron - sometimes called Chilcot. She married William Townsend

Albert Heron - sometimes called Chilcot. he married Dorelia Boswell.

Walter Lee b1845 Ipswich, Suffolk.

Bendigo Lee b1853 born Norfolk. He married Morjiana Lee.

Ada Lee b1854, she was born in Ham Green, Surrey. She married Tobias Boswell.

Edgar Lee b1855, in Brentwood Essex. He married Emma Boswell.

Katty or Hatty Lee, b1858 in Suffolk.

These are all I have at the moment from that area.

Hello was wondering if your Caroline Chilcot was the daughter of John Chilcot and Lit(ruth Lovell)?I have her birth as 1836 but close enough as they often did give different ages!cheers sue.

Unhappy Re: Lee

Hi

Because I am mainly doing my 'blood' Lee tree, I have only put the spouces on, and not actually gone into the spouces family.

I am more intrested in Thomas Lee and his family, rather than the Chilcot's, if you know what I mean, so I haven't found Caroline's parents, as I didn't need them. So it could possibly be the same Caroline.

Sorry, not much help here am I!

Hello everyone

My name is Dawn and I am researching the LEA family. They came originally from the Wiltshire (Calne) area. Then a George Lea moved to Chatteris, Cambs around 1840, married a local girl and our family has been based here ever since. Can anyone give me a hand?? It is the Wiltshire side that I am interested in. Thank you very much
