I have some Lightowler's listed in my tree, from East Yorkshire. As listed above, there are many variations of this name, & it has changed many times down the generations.

I know that there are links in Knottingley, Pontefract, Selby & East Ardsley (West Yorks).

Has anyone got any of these family members listed in their trees? If so, please get in touch.

I have a George Lightowler b1806 in Knottingley, a Mariner, who married Mary Townend b1805 in Selby. They had -
Mary Lightowler b1838 in Knottingley
Hannah Lightowler b1840 in Knottingley
Elizabeth Lightowler b1842 in Selby (my GG Grandma)
Jane Lightowler b1844 in Selby
Thomas Lightowler b1846 in Knottingley
George Lightowler b1848 in knottingley
Francis Lightowler b1850 in Knottingley
John Lightowler b1858 in Knottingley
