Any information of the following relatives or other decendants/relatives appretiated as I am doing a Family Tree

my Gandmother Catherine Jane Jones b.1891 - d. Sept1956, also we had relatives at Nan ty Glyn Colwyn Bay Wales which I think is were my granma Catherine Jane Jones origonated from as we used to go on holliday on a relatives farm there when I was little (early 1950s),

Gwen Jones (dont know her married name) dob late 1800s/early 1900s My Mothers Aunty
granmas side, think this was the nan ty glyn, Colwyn Bay side of the family she had son called Wilf dob early 1920s who lived in Liverpool in the 1950s/60s A Daughter called Olwyn and Think another son Called Glen who might have been a Methodist Minister. During the war my mother Eileen was evacuated from Liverpool to live with Gwen who then lived in PortMadoc and Gwen had a chip shop there, she also had a shop of some sort in Colwyn Bay

Hi Michelle

As you can appreciate Jones is'nt an easy name to search!

There are several Catherine Jane Jones born in Wales around 1900 lol..
I have found one on the 1901 with a sister called Gwen (Lizzie Gwen)they were all born in Ystradgynlais, Brechonshire Glamorgan!?!

Do you have any other details...birth date, place, marriage date an place, married name etc...??!!

Sorry I hadnt added all the info in this post as it is posted in the edwards thread.

I guestimated her approximate birth date from the ages of her children assuming that she would be in her late teens very early 20s (which was about the norm for having children then) when she had the first one

she was Married to John Edwards dob ? South Wales? (who Died at work in cammell lairds Mid/Late 1950s) they lived at Beckenham Avenue penny lane they had 2 sons Jack and Gordon Edwards and 2 daughters Eileen (my Mother born 1925 at Ramilies Road, Penny Lane, Liverpool) and Beryl Edwards

My uncle, Gordon Edwards was born Early 1920s in Liverpool he Married a Betty and they had 4 sons David, (Geofory, Kieth twins) and Andrew. David Married a Christine Mather and they had 2 daughters Kate and Stephanie before Emigrating to canada in the c1975.

My Uncle Jack Edwards born between 1917 & 1921? Married a (Sibyl Littler who aready had a son from a previouse marriage (Colin Littler born mid 1940s)) they then had a son together Ian Edwards born late 1950s? they lived at Maville Road Liverpool 18 till the late 1960s/early 1970s

My Aunty Beryl Edwards born late 1920s Married a Stan Holmes (deceaced) they had no children they used to live at Beckenham Avenue penny lane then moved to 60 Smock Lane, Garswood, Ashton in makesfield lancs. aunty Beryl moved from there sometime after 1976 and have not been able to trace her werabouts, Believe Beryl and Sybil moved in together someware.

I have been checking the Marriages registers and cross referenced Catherine & John, so I believe this will be the correct marriage:

Toxteth P Volume 8c Page 361 Jun Qtr 1916
Catherine Jane Jones & Jack Edwards

John & Jack are commonly used for each name!

Although i found your Mothers Birth registration:
Liverpool Volume 8b Page 396 Jun Qtr 1925
Edwards Eileen Mothers Maiden name Jones.

I have searched births from Jan 1916 - Dec 1921 for Jack and 1917 - 1924 for Gordon, but was unable to find them.

Perhaps they used middle names and were registered in another name!?!

Hope the marriage proves to be correct.

Thank you for the gro info on catherine and john/jack with that
I can send off for the marriage certificate which will give me
further info (ages, addresses parents ect) which may help me
determine that they are the catherine and john im looking for and
also help narrow down the search for there birth records.
didnt realise john and jack were interchangable.
as to Uncle Jack and Uncle Gordon that was all I ever new them as
so dont know if they had other names

strange realy looking back when I was a child you never new your
Aunty's, Uncles or Grandparents full names it was just
Uncle this or Aunty that and Grandad or Grandmother, blimey
you didnt even know if your own parent had middle names

Yes the gro info you have for my mother is correct
as I have my mothers GRO info, Birth, marriage
and death certificates

Personal Details:-
Surname at Birth:- Edwards

Just found out Uncle Jack's real name was Robert John Edwards,
Died 1968/69

65 Sept 1956 Liverpol 8 10d 464

Possibly her Birth GRO info:-
1891 Sep Conway 11b 465

Possibly her Mar 1901 Census info:-
Age 9 at 69 Park Rd, Colwyn Bay, Clwyd LL29 7UL

Will be ordering Death cirt after I recieve marriage cert
from then I should be able to deduce if the birth gro info is likely to be her and if so will then order birth cert,
then ill definatly know if the census info is her or not

Hi lozzie
I have since recieved my Nans (Catherine Jane Jones) Death certificate
Which shows the informant as being T. G. Edwards so that can only be my Uncle Gordon as she only had 2 sons and I have also since found out
that uncle Jack was Robert John Edwards.

I also recieved a copy of that marriage Certificate you posted the gro info for but as yet I have not been able to confirm if that is my nan and grandad, if anything probably not as my nans death cert list her as the widow of John Edwards and my mums (Eileen Edwards) Mariage Cert lists her farther as John Edwards although the occupation listed in both the marriage cert and my nans death cert for Grandad is the same also the approx year of birth matches my nan so I have not ruled it out yet. I think the next thing is to try and get my Grandads Death Certificate I know he Died at work in Cammell Lairds in c1955 and lived at 5 Beckenham Avenue, Sefton Park, Liverpool at the time.
