Hi,

I have recently been investigating the Inglis side of my ancestry and have a good deal of information regarding the Inglis family in and around Montrose, Brechin, Edzell and Lochlee, whose descendants ended up in India, Australia, New Zealand, and the South of England. If anyone is interested in this information let me know.

There are many branches of completely unrelated Inglis families (with different pronunciation of the name) and one of the above Inglis himself married an Inglis from the "other side" - a Jessie Anne Inglis. She was born in India in 1848 but appears in Edinburgh (Heriot Row) in the 1851 Census. Does anyone have links to this side of the Inglis family?
