Hi, I'm having terrible trouble trying to find anything on my great grandfathers family. I managed to find him on the 1901 census when he was living in Tiverton, but anything before that is awful. I know that he was born in a field in Membury which is just outside of Plymouth. His birth year was 1859. His name was Noah Hughes and he was a romany gypsy born and bred. I've also managed to find out that he had a brother called Leonard who lived in a cottage in Cove, Devon. It would be wonderful if somebody out there was of the same family line.
