Hi there,

While I don't have your Margaret HORRIDGE recorded in my tree, I do have HORRIDGEs based in and around Radcliffe, Blackrod & Liverpool from 1820's onwards.

William HORRIDGE b.1826 in Lancashire to John HORRIDGE & Elizabeth (maybe ELLISON or GEORGE) married in Goulburn and came to Australia with his family and one brother, John, in the early 1850s. I am not sure what happened to his siblings (George, Peter & Elizabeth) and what the names of their children (if they had any) were. I also have very little on their parents John and Elizabeth.

However, if you find any information that might connect your Margaret to this line, I would love to hear from you.

Good luck with your search.

I am also looking for any information on the Horridge family of Bolton. My great grand father was Edward Francis Horridge born 1886 in Bolton. His parents were Ann McDonald and Joseph or John or James Horridge. Do you know if there is any relation? Ann and Joseph died in England together. Is there a St. Francis Church some where near there? They are said to be buried there. When they died Edward and his brother Stephen were brought to the United States by their maternal grandparents. They originally went to North Carolina but ended up in Rhode Island. I am sure that we have relatives there but it is very hard to find anyone due to the tragic death of edward's parents. Any help will greatly be appreciated.

My Horridges go back to Thomas Gardner Horridge a bleacher born 1798. Any connections?
