I know this is an old message I'm replying to, but do you know what area in Norfolk you're looking for Greenacres in, and what links you have to put you in that direction?

Yes, that's what I was looking for. Most of my Greenacres are from Gresham and Aylsham, although not so much in Aylsham. I don't have anything as yet that ties Simon into my mess of a tree. :-) The only possible parents I have are Robert Greenaker (greenacre, c.1785) and Elizabeth Youngman (c.1776). All of their children were between 1806 and 1821, but nothing to go with yours. Maybe once I find out where this Robert Greenacre came from, it might open up some clues or ties with other greenacres in Norfolk, but we're stuck at him for now.

You do have both of Simons parents right?

John and Elizabeth Greenacre, both listed as being born in 1791, both born in St Margaret Ormsby as well.

Simon had two sisters and 3 brothers. Elizabeth (b.1826), Maria (b.1827), Benjamin (b.1830), William (b.1833) and Richard (b.1835). Not sure what's up with the 10 year age gap between Simon and Elizabeth, unless some inbetween left home already...

Hi, I have a family tree with the name Greenacre in it. His name was Benjamin Wesley Greenacre and he was from Caister, Norfolk, born in 1833. He was a Mayor and Knighted in 1901 and lived in Durban South Africa. He married Mary Stott.

hope this helps

Hi, I wish I could but but dont have much else as I am researching his wife Mary Stott as that branches off on my family tree.. this is what I have:

Benjamin W. Greenacre, 24/12/1833 moved to Durban, South Africa 1856, co-founder Harvey, Greenacre Co. 1860. Mayour 1876, '89, '97, Knighted 1901 Caister House in Durban South Africa 22/09/1911 and his grave is in the West St. Cemetary in Durban, South Africa.

He Married Mary Stott and all it says about her is 'Tricomelu, Ceylon 29/08/1838 (presume that is her birthplace), Caister House, West St. Durban, South Africa..

good luck with your search
