I am at a loss here.

John Gordon, born September 1868, Laurencekirk, Kincardineshire.
Mother: Elizabeth Gordon
Father: James Lunie (reputed).

I have attached a copy of the marriage certificate for John Gordon and Isabella Young Middleton, which shows these names.

Unfortunately, I can't find a trace of James Lunie anywhere. Because I don't have her date of birth, I can't go any further back on the Gordon line.

I know that she did marry someone MARTIN (according to John and Isabella's marriage certificate) but have no dates and am getting no hits on the IGI and I can't afford to pay for Scotlandspeople subs, but again am getting nothing even hinting at her marriage on there.

Any ideas anyone, please......
