I am tracing any Culloden family members starting with -
Patrick Culloden born c1786 in Ireland, a Clothier by trade, he married Mary Unknown also born in Ireland & they had -

Nicholas Culloden born c1815 in Ireland

Ellen Culloden born c1819 in Ireland

John Culloden born 1822 in Ireland

The family moved to the UK by the 1830's & settled in the Leeds/Bradford areas of Yorkshire, where the family continued to grow & live.

Any info re this family would be greatly appreciated.

The information I'm really struggling for, is the Irish connection - I don't know what part of Ireland they came from?? Why they came to the UK, etc.

Hi Waks,

I am descended from a John Culloden born Ireland - probably Dublin but not certain, - died India 1807. I have been tracing as many Cullodens through the censuses as possible. The spellings vary. I have this family and the male descendants from 1841 to 1901, plus a few of the female descendants. I also have other Culloden families who seem to relate, but not yet known as to how exactly. I am working closely with Valerie of the One Name Group for Culloden. Please feel free to contact me or Valerie if you want any further info.
