Probably you already know from the 1871 Census return that Robert Coomber, then aged 53, was a cooper working in one of Faversham's three gunpowder factories, and that he was living in Ospringe Road, Faversham, when he died in 1886, aged 68.

Thanks for replies.
I would like info of anyone who has connections with the Coomber name in the Faversham area.Particular names of interest are Cox-Inge-Martin. There are several generations of family related persons in my tree who were Coopers by trade. I have plenty of info that I can supply if anyone has interests. Mmany thanks. John Coomber. |
