Look on a web site called "My family swimmers and ----" Google those words should take you to a person who has a LOT of billington family from Lancashire and surrounding districts,

I have checked that address and it is " The billlington family of lancashire "( my family the swimmer the poet the hangmen)

Not much I know, but there was an elderly Billington family living at Moss Lane, Burscough, Nr Ormskirk in the 1950's.
