BALLANTYNE
I have traced my Ballantyne line back to JOHN BALLANTYNE born c 1728 in the Glasgow area.
JOHN married MARY INGLIS 17/06/1753 in GLASGOW . According to his birth record (Scotland's People) GEORGE JAMES INGLIS HUMPHREY BALLANTYNE born 25/01/ 1763 was their 4th child.The family lived in the CALTON district of Glasgow at that time. I have tried to find out when JOHN BALLANTYNE was born and who his parents were but have had no success. If anybody has any of the above in their family tree or can give any advice, please get in touch. Thank you |
