Birth before marriage was not uncommon, in fact it happened many many times. So, don't rule out anyone just because there's a possible birth before the marriage ceremony............ ![]() I read an article about this topic, and it stated that in the 1800's men liked to see whether their future wife-to-be could give them children, before committing to marriage. I have several instances of this in my family tree. |
