Thread: dolans of brideswell roscommon

Hi I,m looking for date of g,gdad John Dolans birth born about 1820/25 in brideswell also ggmother Elizabeth faragher about same time and any children after their first son Thomas born 1849/50also the deaths of John & Elizabeth ,I have been trying for so long but getting nowhere I hope you can help ,Thank you Best wishes Joan

Have you checked the parish records for these events? The RC parish is Kiltomb, and the baptism and marriage records start in 1837. So you won’t find John & Elizabeth’s births but you may get their marriage and their children. RC churches generally didn’t keep burial records so you probably won’t get that information from the parish records. The parish records have been copied. One copy is in the National Library in Dublin. LDS have also copied them and you can order a copy of the microfilm in to your nearest LDS library.
