Thread: Bond family

I am researching Wensley Bond of the Bond's of Lecarrow.born abt 1739 died abt 1820 & married Rebecca Forward 10th august 1778. I have an extensive Bond family and would love to share.

I found your post while I was searching for info on William Henry and his siblings, Elizabeth Rose, Ann Marie & Robert. Those are the ones I know ended up in Queensland. I've not been able yet to find their births. William Henry married Annie HAMILTON in 1879.



I hope we can help each other with this family.

Hi Dave, Sorry for my slow reply but I have been away.I have a William Henry Bond grandson of William & Rebecca, son of Thomas Wensley & Sarah Hodson am I on the right track. I hope so. Please contact again for I have a lot of info on the bond family as my G/father was son of Richard Wensley.

I have this death in Queensland (Winsley should be Wensley):



# B38307 Bond William Henry Richard Winsley Bridget Farrell



This William Henry would have been born about mid 1850s. Some siblings I mentioned also ended up in Queensland. O



There is this one, a ships captain:



BOND, Richard Wensley b. Lecarrow, Roscommon 1862 011911 Liverpool 1894 vol.44 Extra Folio no.9 1894; vol.59 1896-1897, 1899-1903; vol.54 1905



I also have this which ties the family to Lecarrow:



Richard Wensley Bond held an estate in the parish of St Johns, barony of Athlone, county Roscommon, from the Hodsons who had a lease in perpetuity from St George Caulfield dated 1764. Richard W. Bond was the second son of the Very Reverend Wensley Bond, Dean of Ross and he married Sophia daughter of the Reverend James Bond of Lecarrow, county Roscommon.



Now, I don't know who the parents are of the Richard Wensley, the father of my William Henry. I'm sure there are lots of William Henry BONDS born in Ireland and Liverpool and Preston in mid 1800s.



I thought the parents of Richard Wensley born abt 1783 d. 1860 were Wensley & Rebecca. Who did this Richard marry?



I don't know if I'm missing a generation or not.

Hi Dave, Now you DO have my family. Richard Wensley Bond 1862 is my Grt Grandfather, others you mentions also my family. I can help you fill the tree gaps.
