Default THE BARTONS OF FULHAM & PUTNEY

Anyone out there............can you help? I am researching the Bartons namely:-
Charles Barton c.1806 Wiltshire Md to Eliza Atkins and living in Fulham in the then county of Middlesex in the 1841 Census. They had children, Martha, Stephen, George, John, Sarah, Robert, Elizabeth, William, Alfred and a possible Mary Anne.
Also checking a Henry Barton c.1812 living in very close proximity to Charles. Henry is married to an Eliza Brooks/Brookes and is on the same page as Charles above in the 1841 census. Henry & Eliza have two children at that time, Samuel and James.
I do not know whether Charles & Henry are related but I assume so.
The 1951 census has them born in Trowbridge Wiltshire but I don't necessarily think they were born in Trowbridge but that was the largest town for possible registration. Both definately Wiltshire'ites. Assistance would be great as I have been looking for these lads forever.
Many thanks

I have a mary atkins in my tree. Married a John Buckland abt 1847. Think she was born abt 1824 but will have to re-check. unsure where she was born but they lived in south wales for sometime. Could it be the same family. Piece of luck if so.
regards

Hi,
Thanks for the response. My Eliza was definately married to a Charles and as for a connection in Wales, I am not sure at all. Still I will keep hunting.
Regards, the Barton Hunter!

Charles and Henry were born before civil registration. Trowbridge may have been the nearest town to their birthplace, or just where they thought they were born. I assume you have checked the parish baptism registers?

Are there any clues in the witnesses to their weddings?
