Hi, a relative and I are tracing back the same family tree and she has discovered the following:
George Taylor born 1806 in Scotland (probably Dysart) died 1859. On his death register entry his parents are listed as John Taylor and Janet Smith. How do we find out more about them? I have looked on the IGI but John Taylor is quite a common name and I'm not sure where to start. Advice would be much appreciated. Thank you. |

Hi Raven and thank you for the information. I clicked on the thread which appeared on my email and saw your response but could not reply because I hadn't logged in. Is this correct? Do I have to log in separately each time I get a response. I hope you see this! Kind regards from LP.

Hi LP,
when you log in if you tick "remember me" and then click to log in you shouldn't have any trouble. That means you aren't signed out from the site. I have to admit I haven't activated the email response...as I pop in quite often during the day. ![]() |
