lm trying to find any info about my above ancesters.l cant find any more on James who was born in Aston Ingham l think approx 1784 who was a blacksmith and then moved to cheltenham. lv found Hannahs death certificate who died age 56 but l cant find James death certificate after intense searching so lm hoping someone can help me.many thanks

i have found a james shott alive in 1851 and living in cheltenham but he isnt a blacksmith and is married to mary who is quite a bit younger. it is hard to read his occupation but it is Ba??? merchant

is that him
same person still alive in 1861 with daughter elizabeth aged 8
cant find him in 1871 so should have died between those two census

no looks like he died in 1878

many thanks for reply but thats not the one lm afraid.lv just been told he was on the 1851 census as James SHOT.Hannah his wife was spelt Shott on death certificate which lv to send off for. but there is no more on my James under Shott or Shot after 1851.As his wife died in 1858 and he was elderly and living alone, lm now wondering if there was diff spelling of surname.... ll have to look up perhaps under schott etc.in BMD records. many thanks for your reply.Jackie

Looking at the original image on Ancestry it does look like Shot to me.. Hi occupation is Blacksmith and the address looks like 28 St George Pl, Cheltenham
