I wish I could get up at 6 o'clock sharp
And be the first one to lay claim to the bath. Why can't I get breakfast all ready on time And make sure the kids get to school before nine ? I know I should get out the hoover and dust, But somehow, one more cup of coffee's a must. Then I feel the urge to call up an old chum And I really must sit down and write to my Mum. Before I know where I am, lunchtime is here And my letter's no further than starting with 'Dear....' There's shopping to do - all the loo roll has gone, And I feel my whole day has gone terrible wrong ! The sink's full of dishes from the night before, And the washing machine's leaked all over the floor ! By tea-time I'm starting to flag - in they come, 'What's to eat?' is the cry as the T.V. goes on. For now crisps and biscuits seem to suffice As I wonder....school dinners ? Are they worth the price ? 7 o'clock - I feel dead on my feet Then hubby comes home and now he wants to eat ! There's an air of contentment when everyone's fed, Overwhelmed by exhaustion I take to my bed And I promise myself that tomorrow I'll try To get my life together, be more organised. My thoughts turn to dreams, consciousness slips away And tomorrow ? ......tomorrow is so far away. WRITTEN BY MARY (PETAL) |

I had some problems yesterday
That's I'd like to relate When I tried to put a post up Using Copying and Paste. In the morning I wrote a poem And put it on the thread Then I noticed Chris had started A new one -so I said 'Chris shall I move it from the old one Else it just might not be seen?' 'Oh yes please' said she 'to start it off, Sounds like a good idea' So I copied it and pasted it And that all went ok The problems that I had well They came later in the day. I thought I'd put more story on For everyone to read So off I went to Microsoft Works Where I'd saved it , carefully. I highlighted it, clicked on Copy Went back to AA Clicked on Paste -the poem came up Much to my dismay. I tried hard to get rid of it And thats where it went wrong Cos back on Microsoft Works I went And my story - it was gone ! I panicked and swore quite a lot Then I rang my mate Sue 'Help' I said 'it's all gone wrong I don't know what to do !' Speak to Geoff Sue said to me So to AA I went back Sent Geoff a Private Message So we could talk in Chat. I started to say what was wrong Then folk kept coming in 'What's the trouble?' they all said I told 'em, Kelly grinned. Poor Geoff he tried to tell me What I should do to put it right But with so many chatting He said 'I'll e mail you tonight' When folk in Chat knew what I'd done Well they had such a laugh I felt a total wally How could I have been so daft ? I bet somefolk had read it, Even Geoff said ' Why's that poem there?' 'Oh Geoff I just don't know' I said While tearing out my hair ! Well I got Geoff's instructions Followed every single letter But sad to say it didnt work And things , they were no better. I Clicked on Edit, tried to find Something that said Clear All But my comp. says Clear /Select By now I was climbing walls ! The section of the story Had vanished to thin air At least I'd printed it all out So no need to despair. I sat and re-typed the whole lot Clicked Copy/Paste - success ! Now you can all read 'bout what happens To Bobby,Anny and the rest ! WRITTEN BY MARY (Petal) |

well I sort of watched the wedding
Out of the corner of my eye Had to laugh when a reporter asked What she might be wearing A little hat the lady said A dress in pastel colours Well Camilla she wore white And her little hat that was predicted Was great big wide brimmed hat. A fairly large crowd there was With folks from the USA And folks had come from Italy To watch the momentous day Now their of to St Geoge's chapel To have the marriage blessed In front of celebraty guests Joanna Lumbly,Kenneth Brannagh And Kummers from NO 52. I was unable to come into chat last night
The reason is above I logged on this morning and turned quite white What has happened to my love Gf my darling husband dear Proposed in chat to my friend Mel But Gf let me make it quite clear Your married to me, yes me, Vel Floss saw and she is now telling She informed me of your act And tickets Floss is now selling To see Gf defend this fact The showdown is on Sunday eve And everyone will be there There is one thing they can believe I do not play very fair Gf a mod you have been made But I have boots and you do not And I am she who must be obeyed And I'll boot you both on the spot So Gf let this be a message to you And to you my friend Mel I cannot beleive that neither of you knew That you do not mess with Vel WRITTEN BY VELDIX |

Oh Vel I do understand how you feel
And our Geoff, well he should have know better But young Mel, well I know how flirtatious she is Is the answer to hold this vendetta ? The poor soul was tempted, by Mel and her charm And Nev, well he's as scared as can be If Mel is in Chat, he's afraid to come in Our Mel knows how to be naughty does she.! As I plead for our Geoff please bear with me What he did was most surely not right But I need him you see at least till the end Of the Pender story we both write So punish him,yes by all means do that But leave him his hands and his eyes So he can keep writing till our tale is done And our fame and fortune been realised !
