a joy to behold getting in to mischief not caring what they're told Mine is now growing up infact she has past three but she still thinks she's clever and she's still a pup to me Now my little one is different she is growing old Understands a sleep in crosses legs and puts on hold but pup well if she's awake you also have to be but bless her I do love for the joy she brings to me |

Well I know just what you mean
as mine are both aged 2 they never want to settle down even when we do. If we sit down to watch tv then they will sit by us and stare and put their paws on laps until they get a fuss We love them when they're naughty and when they're well behaved but love is unconditional, with a pet it works both ways The loyalty they give to us with no reward expected except some food and water and lots and lots of fuss Pam |

Good to see you all in here
Churning out your rhymes Sorry I've not been about But just not had the time ! New arrival last weekend Meetings to arrange Tears on his arrival It must have seemed quite strange But now he seems to have settled in This 'little man' we've got So christened by our other lad Who fills the 'big bruv' slot Cos this new lad's eleven Just a bit young for us We like to have teenagers Despite their noise and fuss ! They make us laugh, & make us cry But in the end we smile When they leave with a farewell hug We feel it's all worthwhile. Now things are back to normal (well as normal as they can be) I just might get a little time To sit back, and just be 'me' ![]() |

It started off with three of us, mi mam and dad and me,
I never thought I'de get the hang of doing this family tree. It started off in Wigan and very soon I found, some rellis born in Liverpool and I turned into a hound. My aunty was a nun and lived at Notra Dame, she had a lovely family the proudest was her mam. I found some in a fish shop and some down by docks, one sailed a wooden barge while his wife was knitting socks. So you can see where my roots lie and I feel very grand That I was born in Wigan, the best town in the land.. |

Just a quickie to say hello
And tell you how relieved I am that Wimbledon's over (Though some I know might grieve!) My tele programmes up the spout Schedules were a mess Tried to video something funny Got the history of the NHS ! Everything was put behind For a game with a bat and ball I'm sorry folks but sport for me Does nothing, nothing at all ! Same with football -extra time Cos someone hurt their knee Cricket - that runs over Cos they have to stop for tea ! Come summer time the TV planners Might as well take a break Cos folk like me like programmes That might keep me awake ! Forgive me for my tiny rant Sorry to one and all Who love the game of tennis But to me ....well It's just b***s ! ![]() |

Said Daughter Susan the other day
"Let's take all the children on holiday! We'll find a cottage beside the sea, You and Dad too, we can go en famille. So I spoke to Grandpa, and he agreed And said that a holiday's just what we need, But he wasn't too sure that the chances were great Of finding a cottage at such a late date. " Oh pooh ! " said our Sue, "we can go on the net, I swear it has not disappointed me yet ", So she and I, both of us then went online, She on her computer, and I on mine. And there we sat, for two days and more, Till heads were throbbing and eyes were sore. We searched the Highlands, the coasts east and west, And found nothing in Galloway, which we love best. We tried Mull, we tried Arran, we thought about Skye, Which is too hard to reach unless we were to fly, We sought chalets and cottages, lodges galore, Bungalows, caravans, mansions, we saw. Well, a party of seven at this time of year Is not easy to place, and the prices are dear. But we were on a mission, my daughter and me, For we'd promised the children a week by the sea. But success, as it turned out, was not down to us. While his mum took a break, and without any fuss, Number One grandson went surfing instead, And a little while later, " That's sorted ! " he said. He's found us a place that has all we desire Not the Highlands and Islands, nor Mull of Kintyre, Nor even Galloway, our vision is broader For soon we're all going to be crossing the border. We're going to Cumbria, where each holiday wish Will be granted, I'm sure. They can swim, ride, or fish, There's a golf course and water sports, lovely walks too, There'll be no bored children, with so much to do. And as for the cottage - it's three stories tall With four bedrooms, so plenty of room for us all All mod cons, lovely garden, great parking space too. I'd say that the boy did us proud, wouldn't you ? |
