A bore Chris ? No-one could say that
(Hope they don't say that 'bout me!!
When I start rambling on to them
About my family tree (lol)

Well my big brother - he would
In fact he thinks I'm daft
To delve into the graveyards
Says I'm 'living in the past'

Well I don't care what he says
Cos I know more than him
About our family - ups and downs
The good times and the grim.

So he can sit their in the sun
In Eldorado.....Spain
In ignorance of what he's lost
And all that I have gained.

Cos family tree just doesnt stop
With looking for dead folk
Its who you meet along the way
For a laugh, a tear, a joke.

I can't believe how many friends
I've met since I began
Like you,Star, Mollie, Loz, Jon, Kel
And not forgetting Shan.

Without you all it might have been
Just one almight chore
And I might have even given up
And found it all a bore.

But though its shelved....well just for now
Cos my dead folk are hiding
One day it will come out again
When they decide that they want finding.

(AKA Mary)

How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...

Mary you are so right

Recalling the saga of pot of gold searching with all your might

In poems and on boards the interest was always great

Shan doing her best for her rhyming m8

Yes a lot of peeps weve met on our way

We have fond memories that will always stay

Weve seen changes concerning even the site

I think the best time was the bingo night

Plus the death of that dam bird

Daftest story ive ever heard

Gf doing big brother

The story you both did that was another

I could ramble on and on , still its good to talk , ask star

Now im thinking i wonder Star were you are

Ahh the memories of times gone by
Still bring a smile and never fade
Not just about my ancestors
But all the friends on AA I've made

The first meet in Liverpool i went
and wrote odes for a few
Little gifts for members to reflect
their tales in the chat room, phew

Remember Queen Candy Floss?
And her grandaughter Emaily Email
Mollie and her cheese baguettes
Blade and his Stevie G tale?

ohhh I am pmsl at the look on their faces!!
Sorry rhyme now gone caput
Gonna search me comp for those poems
And onto AA I will put

Little Mollie Mouse from behind the bar

Good luck for next week, you are bound to go far.

No more baguettes and no more cheese

No more lazy Manx peeps to please!

From now on its Bedpans and bogs

While you clip clippity clop in your clogs

Never mind if your bottom the old men do squeeze

At least its not CHEESE, CHEESE, CHEESE!!

Trina & Blade

Now we come to Trina & Blade

The lads in Red put others in the shade!

Come to my Barbie on 23rd July

And Stevie G you are sure to spy!

Sorry to upset the wedding plans

But family and friends will understand.

Sorry Trina if hes been a pain in the ass,

But this was a wind up I could not pass!!

Gf

Now there is a young man from Wales
Who we all know, from this place hails
He has a great sense of humour
At least that is the rumour
For entertainment he never fails

He really comes from Outer Space

Morphs himself from place to place

Is he here? Is he there?

Alien Geoff he is everywhere!

In your pint, in your curry,

Running round in a hurry!

Wind up merchant, King of Pranks

Hes had many wives, but now he…is single!!

Queen Candy Floss

Arise Queen Candy Floss, we say

And wear this Tiara for the rest of the day

Floss thinks that she is royalty

And blue blood she now does have.

Is this true? We question her

Or is it just a laff??!!

Flossie oh flossie oh wot did you do?

With baby Emily, Wayne entrusted with you.

You popped her in youre A drive and mailed her to me

She was cute and cuddly but with a full nappee!!

So I sent her on to Molls whod been on the vodka

She received her and then forgot all about her!

She found her days later in her temporary file

And forwarded her on and we held breath for a while!

But then poor Emily Email

Was lost forever in Cyberspace.

But now although she shrunk a bit,

Here she is back in her rightful place!

I gave Floss a tiny doll dressed in pink!

HAPPYDAYS

And now my stint is over and coming to an end

I do so hope that you peeps, I did not offend!

Happydays I bet you think that is that

But not a chance...you daft bat!!

At all the parties you rise and shine

Until youve had 2 glasses of wine,

Then youre up to dance and jig

Looking just like MSN Pig!!

Bugger, bugger I hear you cry

My mate Lozzie she does not lie!

Bless you Val, you so did trust me,

PMSL and now youre all flusty!!

Oh Lozz...........you forgot me...............

Mary Mary -not contrary
How does your garden grow ?
With Silver Bells and Cockle Shells
And Pretty Cardis all in a row !

You've missed your Ocfam, You've missed your Scope
Never worry -there's always hope
Into the charity shop we did dare
And bought a cardi for you to wear !

(first Liverpool meet)

Oh lozzie oh lozzie how could you forget
Those boozy nights that you had
With Debs and Andy from 'oop North
Kareokee (spelt that wrong - that's bad !)

Once started it seemed you just couldn't stop
Singing your heart right away
Liverpool couldn't forget you
It probably begged you to stay !

I seem to remember -stop me if I'm wrong
But Val's favourite colour - I think
Was the one I like least and there she was
All dressed up - glowing in pink !!!!

I'm sorry I missed you all this time
It was fun when we've met up before
Bill had so much fun.........far more I reckon
Than if he'd drunk whisky galore !!

But 'We'll meet again' -as the song goes
Cos some things are just meant to be
And who'd have thought that we'd make such friends
And all 'cos of family trees !!

(sorry -best I could do -it's still morning !!)

Wow everyone's been busy
writing there poems here,
well I've been busy also
my 2 grandaughter's here.

They're 18months and 3months old
and as sweet as candy floss
The 18month old is at the age
when she makes herself real cross.

She runs and plays, contented,
while her sister sits and smiles
but when it's littl 'uns bottle time,
you can hear her scream for miles!

So now they've gone back home again
the house is really quiet,
hubby and I sit down and smile
to have them here's a riot.

It's lovely when we see them
It's lovely when they stay
and when they go away again
we can't wait for another day.
