Hi came to my little room to cheer my self and read through

To think that peeps send abuse e-mails to jon makes me blue

Family history sites are friendly and should be so nice

Not abusive, insulting , its just not right

Well ive gone through the poems that did make me smile

Yes this site is more than worth while

Abusive e mails to our Jon ??
Whoever it is..........let they be gone
From underneath the stone they crawled
It's just not on - I am appalled !

But Jon, our Jon's a bigger man
And he can take it, I know he can
Just push 'delete'........smile on his face
As they vanish into Cyberspace !

Well, back to me -my daily grind
Exploding wardrobe's on my mind
Cos after all, it didn't rain
Boot fair was on- sun was out again !

So off I went with purse in hand
To that little 'promised land'
Of 'stuff' I really wanted to buy
But I resisted.........I really tried

And I succeeded......all but these:
Two Plants, two candles.....I was pleased !
Then our neighbour called to say
He'd got some plants - what could I say ?

But 'oh yes please.......we'll have them'
Now where to put them ??? Think again !!
Here against the garage wall ?
No, that won't look right at all !

So in a bucket now they sit
While we think where they might fit
One of thems a climbing rose
Now we need trellis I suppose !

Oh eck, these plants that seemed so free
Are going to cost us, I can see.
Trellis and some more big pots
Why couldn't we say 'no' on the spot ?

And my exploding wardrobe waits
To be cleared of excessive weight
Tomorrow ? Well I said I would
And really, well I know I should.

Maybe I'll do a little bit
And make at least some room in it
If only to create some space
Where T-shirts can be neatly placed

And summer skirts can hang crease -free
But cardis.........no, they'll stay - cos me
I love my cardi's -with good reason
We get cold winds here whatever season

Spring or Summer the east winds blow
My cardi's been worn so they know
How needed they all are by me
So I can stay 'chill factor' free !!!

Exploding wardrobe is no more
I hawled my jumpers on the floor
Sorted through them one by one
Seven bin bags later I'd nearly done !!

Couldn't face it anymore
So firmly closed the wardrobe door
Once I'd hung things all in place
So neat and tidy -and still there's space !!

Today my back aches so today
I'm doing nothing except play
Bill, good soul, hoovered up the stairs
While I sat in a comfy chair.

Counsellor I saw at 11 o'clock
Two more appointments -thats my lot
She reckons that by then I'll be
A little bit more like 'me'

I hope she's right - I'm sure she is
I'll be no longer in a tizz
'Bout Dad not here and Mum so ill
And life seeming it's all up hill !

And maybe, just maybe I said
I might find folks, a long time dead
To add to my expanding tree
Of people who created me !

I did a bit more clearing out
In our bedroom there's a cupboard
I flung stuff out, still it was full
Unlike that of Mrs. Hubbard !!

Did No.2 son leave home years back ?
It seems like he's still here
This cupboard was so full of him
And stuff he once held dear

Magazines he'd hoarded
(Gets that habit from his mother)
Anything and everything he kept
Unlike his brother !

I found his long lost teddy bear
With knitted trousers on
Knitted my Mum, all those years ago
Sadly the little jumper has gone.

His first artists brushes from college
His art work all neat in a folder
Clay work from school -not all that good
He won't want them now that he's older

So back in the cupboard I put them
Along with a poster or two
Well more than two -more like a dozen
Of that football team from Liverpool

But he''s not the only offender
Of hoarding, needing to hang on
To things he don't need - I even found
I'd kept his overalls from his first job !

Well now they're slung out -he's say 'at last'
And 'Mother -don't be so silly'
He laugh if he saw that I also found
Grans bloomers, baggy and all frilly !!

Well I can't part with them now can I
They're part of history to me
So they'll go into Dad's Memory Box
With a photo for my family tree.

Along with the sewing case she had made
Out of felt and embroidered with care
These things are just as important
As names, date, who lived when and where

But for now I'm halting my clearing out
It's wearing me down to a pulp
But I've made space for shoes, and some coats
And how many handbags????? (gulp !!)

Oh.....I did also find some MDF stuff
Son''s college project - just ' bits'
But I painted a cupboard 'bout 2 weeks ago
One piece forms a shelf -perfect fit !!

So all this Spring cleaning I'm doing
(Ignore 'clean' -thats the wrong word!)
Is very productive and some music papers
I found I can e bay........I've heard !

I doubt they will earn me a fortune
Who knows ? It might not be much
But for now my de-cluttering is on 'pause'
Cos for now - enough is enough !!

The wardrobes now are empty
The drawers are clean and bare
The next thing Mary will be thinking
Is what can I put in there
Off to the charity shop she will go
New cardigans she will get
Bits for making Christmas cards
The reason for cleaning - well she forgets

No no star, this is a new 'me'
(she says) well, least for now
Until I find a bargain
That my budget will allow.

Bin bags have been collected
Some stuff put on e bay
(Not by me, wouldn't know how!)
Hope loads of dosh it pays !

Handbags I got rid of
Chair cover I bought (why????)
Bill got out some 'rock' magazines
Browsed through them with a sigh

Then put them in a carrier bag
And gave them to our friend
To e bay with the other stuff
Think our clear out now must end !

Or else I'll have no clothes to wear
(Kept my card's though)
Just couldn't bear to part with them
It's very sad I know

To get attached to something
That's been knitted with wool
But now I've space to hang them neat
Now my wardrobe's not so full.

The thing is, now I've chucked stuff out
Put other bits here and there
Some where safe, more organised
But can someone tell me .........'where ???'

Today I was due for my facial
Eyebrow shape and lip wax, then hair
I went to the wardrobe and much to my horror
I couldn't find anything to wear !!

Well slight exaggeration, empty it wasn't
But it all seemed so alien to me
To open it up without stuff falling out
Heaps of jumpers right up to my knees !

I rooted about and found something
And off for my facial I went
Eyebrow shaping it seems took years off me
Lipwax ?? I'll not do that again !!

The facial was oh so relaxing
Then a hair do to finish.......all done
So off to the charity shops I wandered
I must find a jumper........just one ???

But no.......not a thing....not in my size
Extra large, very small or petite
So I bought four cushions-four quid the lot
To put on our plastic garden seats !

Popped in to the pub -had a coffee with Bill
Sat outside in the sun ..........have a fag ?
(Yes I know that I shouldn't) then- oh bloomin' heck !
I found I'd got none in my bag !

Lucky for me a shop was close by
And I ran in..........'please.....' -(puff- puff -cough!)
'Some fags for me.........oh and a lighter'
The wind blew -bet my hair looked bit rough !

But I've had a day I've enjoyed every bit
I went in the garden, and pulled up some weeds
Bill tugged at the dandelions -they must be got
Before they start turning to seed !

Shame in a way, they're a pretty flower
So why is it we hate them so much ?
Why can't we sit back and enjoy them
But no..........we say 'enough is enough !'

I know we've got loads but lets face it
They grow where nothing else does
And they're hard work to pull up, Bill tugged
And tugged some more and did cuss !

And I've heard if you pour boiling water
Or salt, well they'll shrivel away
I might try that one on the few that are left
But for now,let them have their day !
