Hope Lozzie's learned her lesson
From yesterday's goings on
I shook my finger - shouted at her
Told her 'all this is wrong'

The F word is not to be said
Least not close to my ears
I'm quite broadminded 'bout most things
In my advancing years.

But Lozzie got carried away
No matter what I said
She F-d and F-d .....no stopping her
And I'd got an aching head !

Thankfully Mollie was there
Then in came our mate Max
(Max -she's not keen on this F word)
And then in pops our Waks !

Well off they went -it drove me daft
F this, and then F that !
And all I'd popped in for really
Was a cheerful friendly chat !

Oh Lozz...........I had to suffer it
Last night bout half past ten
When Bill.........he started F -in'
So I heard it all again !

I had enough and went to bed
My head was fit to burst
I'd had enough of F -in
Can't think of nothing worse !

Next time I think 'bout chatting
I'll check out first who's there
And is there's any F -in going on
Well - you'll not find me there !

(Good one Lozzie................best I could do as a reply !!............lol)

I couldnt let it go Lozz
Without some sort of reply
When I logged on this morning
And I caught sight of your rhyme !

I had it in my head to write
A poem of some kind
That had Max rhyming with Waks
But you..........you read my mind !

Beat me to it....yes you did
But do I mind ? Oh no
It gave me a much needed chuckle
Headache ? That had to go !

Now this rhymes quite pathetic
Cos it's getting on a bit
I've been on here a bit too long
Need somewhere soft to sit.

So I'm off........well in at llittle while
I'll just google a bit more
Don''t ask me why............Is it an illness
That there are tablets for ?

If it is and if there are
Well, sorry don't want none
(I know that's awful grammar!)
Who cares? It's all good fun !

The wind it did blow
And yes, we had snow
A light dusting over the ground
That's not much I thought
But I nearly got caught
As I very rapidly found !

There was I on the floor
Sorting papers galore
The phone rang -our lad said to me
'You seen outside ?
My mouth opened wide
At the size of the snowflakes I did see.

It was nothing short
Of a blizzard, I thought
As the wind blew the snow across the street
But instead of drifting
The snow started shifting
And quite quickly then turned to sleet.

The sun came out bright
Blue skies......clouds of white
The snow then it started to thaw
So quickly it came
Just as quick -went away
But the forecasters say we'll have more!

So I'll be logged on
Till this weather's gone
There's no way I'm going out there
If I fall, break my wrist
Or worse still.... my hips
I'll be stuck here....not go anywhere.

So I'm playing safe
Not gamble with fate
Though last year if I recall right
I broke my wrist -silly me
I tripped over the tree
So much for 'luck' on twelfth night !

So folks take good care
Tread carefully where
There is ice ,snow or trees on the floor
'Cos it just could be you
In a plastercast too
So don't stir outside your front door !

The snow disappeared
I sighed with relief
Then this morning it was back again
Only this time much worse
Like some kind of curse
But later it started to rain.

The sun had shone bright
And the snow went away
Once more I sighed with relief
Then it started to rain
Turned to sleet -snow again
I thought - this is beyond belief !

The weatherman's forecast
Of 'light dusting' of snow
On Wednesday/Thursday was out
It came the day before
And they say we'll have more
So the weathermen I start to doubt !

Our young lad Jason
Who gardens so well
Couldn't work today it was so bad
So my trellis is lacking
The wood for it's backing
And the kids here are driving me mad !

It snows, they come in
First there were two
Then three then four, five and six
Some girls and some boys
Oh they do make such noise
My head feels like it's hit with a brick !

So please, Mr.Sunshine
Come out to play
I need you to stop all this snow
I want to be warm
I'm fed up with snow storms
And next week to Mum's I must go.

Now if I go to see her
And ice starts to form
Well -the car park will be like a rink
But I can't skate on ice
(I've tried it - twice!)
Somethings not meant to be I think !

Oh well, thats the weather
We can't change it all
But oh how I long for the spring
It's worth April showers
For the sight of the flowers
And the leaves on the trees that it brings.

Fingers crossed -and legs too
That this is our winter
And after this week it will be gone
I can take off my cardy
Be slightly foolhardy
With my denim skirt and t-shirt on !

Burns night is upon us again,
And tomorrow will be the time when
The haggis appear
As they do every year
And are caught for Burns Suppers, ye ken.
