James Macbeth again Land Steward on Stobhall Estate

Birthplaces of children would suggest that they were not living on the Estate until around 1843 when Andrew was born.

Hmm notice my last Edit hasn't worked - This was showing the 1841 cencus.

Briefly: Found James and Mary Macbeth livingin Comrie, Perthshire. He is listed as MS which I think is Man Servant.

Living with them, besides the children found on 1851, is William bc 1833.

Think this may well be William in 1851:

William N Macbeth bc 1833, living in Aberdeenshire as a Railway Clerk. He was a lodger with a family of Walkers.

Also see that a William Nicol Macbeth was on New Zealand rolls in 1850s and 1860s. I am not able to look at these because I only have basic subscription to Ancestry. However, this being William Nicol Macbeth, I am sure that this is the William related to James and Mary as Mary is called Mary Nicol in 1851 cencus. I would expectthat this was her maiden name that has been passed on to William - common in Scotland. Could he then have travelled to Australia from NZ do you think?
