Hi Kerri,

The reason I asked about nationality was that I knew they were in the Channel Islands before coming to England, but they were also in India and Australia. This makes it the right family. Thanks

Hi Kerrie,

I have found Robert Ringrow on the crew of the independence in January 1854. The ship was in Australian waters on the way to Sydney. He was aged 40 but doesn't appear to have made it back to England. The Ingrouille/Ingroville family married into the Ringrow family. Is it possible to see if there is any sign of him around the same area that you found the other family.

P.S I have now found the other child you found back in England with her family in 1881/1891

Hi Kerri,

Would you be able to find anything on this person. I have nothing on her after the 1841 census until her death. I do not know if she ever married.

Sarah Hillier
Born abt 1826 in North Stoneham, Hampshire, England
Died 02/11/1914 Normanville, South Australia.

Thanks for your help Kerri, I now know they left before the 1851 census. I don't think I will bother with the marriage as I know the rest of the children now.

[Anyone need a lookup?
Kerri[/quote]
Hi Kerry,
I have been researching my family for about 18mths and doing quite well
so far. Have found 4 new cousins too, which is exciting.

However I haven't had any luck finding my first cousins, or any of their
offspring. My sister was in touch with them until 1960's but since then
there has been no contact.
They are, Madge, Harry, Stan, & Robert Roe. Their father was
Richard Lionel Roe (my father's brother),- Emigrated to Aus.1921. died 1952. and their mother, Nell. (native of Australia).
think they lived in Geegong, SOUTH AUSTRALIA. They would all be in
their 70's now.
If you could help or at least point me in the right direction as to where to enquire I would be so grateful. I have posted on various genealogy websites over the past two years but have had no luck.
Thanks so much
Jennie.
