Hi, I'm looking for some of my German ancestors who settled in SA then moved to NSW & Vic (some went back).
I have most of the info but am looking for a birth date of Johann Friedrich (or John Frederick - could be just Frederick) about 1860. Also looking for the death (and marriage if possible) of two of his siblings, Amelia Friedrike (Emily Frederica), born 23.4.1858 and Friedrich Wilhelm (Frederick William) born 26.10.1854
And also if possible the Neideck family; Leberecht (b. c.1827), Anna Rosina (b. c.1836) married 9.5.1858 in Ebenezer. Their children - Maria Anna Elisabeth (23.3.1859-?), Johann Hermann (15.7.1860-24.3.1924) - married Caroline Wilhelmine Nitschke, Friedrichj Wilhelm (22.3.1862-?), Anna Pauline (13.6.1863-?), Theresa (10.1.1865-?) and Johanne Louise (abt 1866-?). Woul love any marriage or death info you could find.
Hope I'm not asking too much...![]()

Kerri
Thanks heaps Kerri, it's a great help.
Yes, the first family's surname was AltmannHow did you know?
Bazza
Kerri, me again
Could you please check for any Nowell's (sometimes spelt Noel) in SA. I have no idea where they ended up but am checking other Aussie states before going 'abroad'. Their mother's death certificate (from 1929) states that none of her children were living. The two I'm looking for are Louisa Richards Nowell & William Richards Nowell. Their two elder sisters settled in Sydney.
Louisa & William were born 1868 & 1870 respectively.
I'll put this message on the WA one as well!
Thanks
Baz
Hi Bazza
These girls were not born in SA. No Nowell births ,15 Noel's.
Kerri
I don't suppose any of those Noel's were remotely similar????
hi Aussie33
could you please do a lookup for me
LeGallic, Alfreda Rose DOB 5/2/1893 South Australia
mother : Harriet Hall
father : ? LeGallic
Alfreda is one of 6 children, she married John Eastcott Gant in 1912 but they divorced and she married a second time to Bernard Smith (date unknown)
OK, what i am seriously lookin for is info on Alfreda's father. I have been told that he jumped ship while it was docked in Oz so i dont even know if this is his true name.
Anything else you find is a bonus, either up or down the tree, details such as certificate numbers or the other siblings marriages and their children.
Thankyou very much in advance
Frankie
