I'm looking for the birth & marriage details of John Shard born abt 1781....he married Mary Unknown....

Marriage possibly before 1802 as they had children from this date upwards...



According to the 1841 not born in Lancashire, where he was living.....Mary born 1776 ish from Lancashire?????



I have looked on family sesrch and found their childrens birth details and some marriages..but nothing for them.....



Also their first son Robert Shard born abt 1802 possibly Lancashire, as that's where the other childen were born....Ainsworth & Kearsley areas....



I have Roberts marriage details.....



The surname SHARD has been mis spelt many times.....SHEARD,SHAND,CHARD,SCHARD even Sharp at one point, possibly others...



I know this will be a hard task, but anything would help...

Sorry but cannot find any information re your John Shard. Pity we don't know where he was from. I found the family on Ancestry in 1841 but could not find him on the 1851 census. Had he pehaps died by then? Sorry again not to be more helpful.

I wonder if you might have time to look on the BVRI to see if there is anything on the marriage of a William Page in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire ? It would be about 1820 - something, I would think, as he was born in 1800. He married a Susan, and I think she may have been a Galer, or Gayler.

I can't find any marriage record on Ancestry.
