Hi



I spend a lot of time in the Oldham Local Studies and Archives Centre, if anyone needs any lookups done in this area just yell my way and i will do my best.

Hi Buckley. Could you possibly do a look up for me. I am looking for the partners of the following names if possible, although they was all born in the

Cheshire area they did move to Oldham Lancs.

Alice J Heathcote born 1893 (Marple)

Frances A Heathcote born 1896 (Rainow)

John W Heathcote born 1899 (Cheadle)

Mary E Heathcote born 1900 (Bollington)

Charles E Heathcote born 1892 (Macclesfield)



Any other info would be an added bonus



The above names are the siblings of John W Heathcote and Sara E Beswick.

I have found the following marriages on the Lancashire bmd website

Charles E Heathcote married Ellen Y McElroy 1919 at The Register Office Oldham or Registrar attended



Frances A Heathcote married Harry Edwards 1921 at St James, Oldham.



Alice J Heathcote married James Travis 1923 at St John The Baptist, Hey



Mary E Heathcote married Edmund S Buckley 1924 at St James, Oldham



Unfortunatly these marriages cannot be checked at the archives as the parish registers for these dates will still be at the churches named.



You could purchase these certificates using the order forms on the Lancashire bmd website and sending them to the relevant register office which in this case would be Oldham Register Office.



I have not been able to find a marriage for John W Heathcote yet still looking.

Many thanks for the info, it's much appreciated. It's very exciting following ancesters, I only started researching about 4 months ago. My mum (bless her)

was very interested when I told her about her fathers first wife's name, she's concidering buying a computer now.....she's almost 80



So I was right on Mary's Partners name Edmund, I may also be right in saying they went to live in Blackburn.

It is more likely to be John W Heathcote & Hannah Machin.

as John was born in 1899, so he'd have been 25 when he married which would be about right. The other John W was his father who was born in 1872, he married my grandma Phyllis Hulme in 1926. Hope this doesn't you.

Wonder if you can help please.

Looking for information on a Margaret Binns - the 1841 has ber born 1816 Oldham but the 51 has her born 1810 in Oldham.

Also looking for her marriage, cant seem to find it. She married a James Moss - 41 census has him born 1806 in Hyde Cheshire but the 51 has him born in 1806 Saddleworth.

Not been able to locate a birth record for him either.

Their first child was born in 1830 in Hyde (Joseph)

Any help you can give would be appreciated.
