Hi Lozzie,

Can you please tell me where Mary Woodruff was buried.

She died at 65 Burnt Tree Lane, Sheffield on 13th May 1893, aged 51 years, registered in the Sub District of North Sheffield.

Her husband William was buried with his son and his wife in City Road but she is not with them. There is the possibility that she could be buried in Catholic buriel ground.

Regards,

Calmar

Thanks for the offer! I wonder if you could find these two?

I have a William TYLER in Attercliffe cum Darnall in 1881; he died Q4 1887 age 56.

His wife Ann was in Ecclesfield in 1891; she died Q3 1891 age 55.

Hi Calmar

It's a mis-transcription!

Mary Woodneff buried 18 May 1893 Age 51 65 Burnt Tree Lane, Priest: MJW Grave No. 1 Section QA St Patricks Section, at St Michaels Roman Catholic Cemetry, Rivelin Valley Road Sheffield.

I have visited this cemetry before and from "memory" think it is on the A-Z map as WALKLEY Cemetry!

Hi Yellabelly

Sorry I can't find your William and Ann.

I have looked in Attercliffe, Darnall, Woodhouse, Tinsley and the RC data, also various Church Yard burials across Sheffield.

Good Luck hope you find them eventually

The CD's I have are NOT full transcriptions for ALL cemetries.

Hi,
St Michael's cemetery is different from Walkley cemetery. St Michael's is on Rivelin Valley Road . Walkley Cemetery is higher up off Nichols Road. They do back on to each other but there is a high wall between then.
